There is an election before the town elections — a presidential primary on March 5th.  You must be registered to vote by Feb. 24th.  Note that Massachusetts has an open primary in that independents (“Unenrolled” on the voter registration card) can vote in any of the party primaries, Republican, Democratic or Libertarian.  If you are registered with a party, of course, you can only vote that ballot.  If you would like to change your registration, you need to go to Town Hall by Feb. 24th.
