FISHING DERBY AT WENDLING FARM ON MAY 18
Averill Cook at Wendling Farm invites all 4-14 year olds to experience four hours of fun from 8am-Noon catching fish, salamanders and other aquatic beasts.  Some poles and goodies will be provided, but bring your worms.  That's Saturday, May 18, 753 Oblong Road.

Sunday, May 19th  – Free Guided Walking Tour of Five Corners Historic District

The Store at Five Corners Stewardship Association is pleased to announce an upcoming FREE event: a guided walking tour of the Five Corners Historic District on Sunday, May 19th  at 1:00 pm. All are welcome to join! 

Here’s the schedule:  

1:00 pm:  Meet at the Store at Five Corners, 4 New Ashford Rd, Williamstown, MA, for introductions and a free map

1:15 pm:  Depart in small groups for a guided walking tour

2:15 pm:  Return to the Store for free refreshments, Q&A and discussion

This outdoor walking tour will include highlights of the Five Corners Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1993, including The Store at Five Corners, houses from the 1700s-1800s, the South Center School (Williamstown Historical Museum), and sites of the former William A. Morey Store, Greylock Institute boarding school, and Idlewild Inn.

Bird Walk at The Spruces with David McGowan on Wednesday, May 22 at 8AM
David McGowan, former director of Williamstown Rural Lands, leads a leisurely bird-watching walk at The Spruces and Hoosic River.  We'll gather by the picnic tables at the pond near the pollinator garden (60 Main St. Williamstown)  RAIN CANCELS.  For more information, www.beefriendlywilliamstown.org
