Dear Neighbor,

Here are a few things you should know about if you don’t already.

Incumbent U.S. Representative Richard Neal and challenger Alex Morse will face off in a debate to be televised on WGBY TV (available on our local cable on Channel 1221).

August 18 at 7pm

Williamstown Town Meeting is scheduled to take place outdoors at Weston Field (Williams College Football Field).

The Williamstown Historical Museum is now open on Saturdays from 10am-4pm and needs volunteers for the 10-12 shift and the 2-4 shift.  Masks are required for all visitors and volunteers and Executive Director Sarah Currie will be available to provide training and support.  If you are interested, please contact sarah@williamstownhistoricalmuseum.org.

The Store at Five Corners is closed until further notice.  Nearest alternatives are:

The Country Store at Jiminy Peak (run by Tom and Meddy, former owners of The Store at Five Corners) off Brodie Mountain Road, open daily 7am-7pm, purveying grocery items, prepared food and beer and wine

Wild Oats, 320 Main Street in Williamstown, open daily 9am-8pm with first hour reserved for seniors, with wide selection of grocery items, fresh produce, meat, fish and prepared food, wine and beer

Fanny Culleton, 386 Oblong Road, invites you to visit her garden (no dogs, please).

Front Porch Forum

We did it! Thanks to our community we hit our 250 signees mark and exceeded it late last week.

Since we have demonstrated there is a demand for this service here the folks a Front Porch Forum have officially added Williamstown to their service. This forum will officially activate for use once we have 250 people signed up there.

So .. Your next step is to visit https://frontporchforum.com/ and create an account.

Once 250 of us have done that the forum will activate and we can start using it.
